Michael Hardware has over 20 years' experience of consumer, business-to-business and corporate public relations, and marketing communications. Originally trained as a company secretary before entering client-side marketing, his experience has encompassed all aspects of the promotional mix for a variety of activities including commercial and residential property development, building contracting, construction and services, together with financial and planning public relations.

His subsequent consultancy experience has been broad including property consultants, energy, education, construction services, housebuilding, architecture, alternative fuels and internet services. Michael worked with British Gas for four years throughout its demerger and transition, and was the consultancy project manager, coordinating six public relations firms, for the Government-backed UK NetYear campaign undertaken by ICL, Cisco Systems, Sun Microsystems and The Daily Telegraph.

Michael has particularly strong links with the press as a member of the International Association of Construction, Design and Property Press (IBP) for more than 14 years, sitting on the executive committee for five years, two as honorary treasurer. He is an accomplished writer and columnist, making regular contributions to a number of business, consumer and trade publications.

Michael has also sat on industry special interest groups with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Institute of Public Relations.
