Budget Responsibility and National Audit Bill

The Bill was first published in Parliament in October 2010 and has now officially been granted Royal Assent.

The Office for Budget and Responsibility Bill has made provisions for a new body to take on responsibility for publishing financial statements and Budget reports, also to establish an office solely for Budget Responsibility. The Government of Wales Act 2006, schedules 5 and 7 will also be amended in relation to the Auditor- General for Wales.
