MARY DERRANE PROMOTED TO EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF CHELGATE

Corporate PR and public affairs consultancy Chelgate Ltd has promoted
Mary
Derrane to Executive Vice President of the company.
Mrs Derrane joined Chelgate in 1999 after 15 years at Pfizer Limited,
where she was responsible for media relations and was editor of the company's
in-house magazine.
She was also a Labour member of Thanet District Council for twelve years,
where she was the Cabinet Member with responsibility for Housing. She had
previously chaired its Economic Development & Regeneration Committee
and served on the Policy & Resources and Finance & Monitoring Committees.
A local government specialist, she makes an important contribution to
the
Chelgate Local Government Unit, providing specialist support to local councils,
and other organisations with an interest in local government.
Mary is also a key member of the Chelgate education group, having worked
with clients such as OCR, the Oxford and Cambridge examination board.
