Chelgate Ahead of the Field

 Supporters of Chelgate's own racehorse, Positive Profile, have had a Christmas
and New Year to celebrate, with the wonder-nag winning no less than five
races since the end of October. The first win in the sequence was at the
generous odds of 33-1, but the chastened bookies soon learnt their lesson,
with subsequent triumphs at prices as low as 5/4. Even the lower payouts
did little to dampen the celebrations of the various members of the Chelgate
team who had turned out to cheer home their favourite four legged friend.
Finance Director Mathew Lane has been heard to comment that Positive Profile
is "the most profitable executive in the firm", and talk is afoot
(ahoof?) of promotion to Executive VP (Oats).
From a business point of view, the team were quick to demonstrate their
skill at the art of sports promotion, with these successes generating
multiple television interviews and widespread print and broadcast coverage
for Chelgate.
