Chelgate Appoints Wingate Executive Vice President

Chelgate Limited has announced the appointment of Frank Wingate as Executive
Vice President.
Chelgate's Chairman and CEO, Terence Fane-Saunders, said that Wingate,
who previously headed Chelgate's Asian operations centred in Hong Kong,
would complement the company's management team and bring valuable international
experience into its servicing capability.
"Frank brings us wide-ranging experience from both private and public
sector, as well as hands-on management skills, and will further reinforce
our counselling strength," Fane-Saunders added.
As well as assisting with the servicing of a number of Chelgate's existing
accounts, Wingate will take a lead role in overall business development
together with the co-ordination of the company's international interests.
Prior to joining Chelgate's London office, Wingate was Executive Vice
President of Chelgate Asia, the company's Asia-Pacific headquarters, with
overall management and business responsibility for the region. He assumed
that position in 1996, when Chelgate acquired his own start-up company,
Wingate PR, and merged it with Chelgate Asia which has operated in the
region since 1989.
Chelgate Asia focuses on new media, telecommunications, trade and investment
and consumer lines of business. The company's client list includes global
internet names, top telecom brands and the Hong Kong Government's inward
investment bureau as well as the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Before 1991, Wingate was International Publicity Manager for the Hong
Kong Trade Development Council, in charge of the Council's global PR strategy
and implementation.
A graduate of Oxford University, he is 51 years old and a British citizen.
