Chelgate buys high-tech advertising/marketing
agency
27 March 2000
London-based international public relations consultancy, Chelgate Limited,
today announced the acquisition of the high-tech advertising and marketing
agency, RBC International.
Led by two former Saatchi and Saatchi creative directors, RBC International
operates across the full spectrum of advertising, design and marketing.
Substantial investment in new media and Internet technology in recent years
has been reflected in the agency's growing reputation for high-tech design.
Chelgate Chairman, Terence Fane-Saunders said: "This is a very important
and exciting step for Chelgate. Like our colleagues at RBC International,
we are wholly committed to providing our clients with the best possible
resources to exploit the huge opportunities created by the New Media revolution.
The new, integrated service will provide clients with a unique facility."
Mr Fane-Saunders said that RBC International's expertise in traditional
advertising and design media would also be important: "We recognise
that even on-line services need off-line promotion, and RBC International
has a well deserved international reputation for design and creative excellence.
RBC International will continue to operate from its Macclesfield base
for the foreseeable future. Agency Managing Director, Peter Robinson, said: "Today's
technology means that we already serve a client list which is not only
national, but international. We don't have to live on the client's doorstep.
The lower overheads here mean that we can offer clients, wherever they
are, international standards of excellence at a fair and competitive price."
Chelgate Limited is an international PR firm, founded in 1988, with a
head office in London, three branch offices in Asia, and a network of associates
around the world.
