LOCAL GOVERNMENT DEBATE ON THE ENVIRONMENT
15 June 2007

Nick Wood-Dow, Director of Chelgate Environment and Chairman of the Tory Green Initiative, addressed the best practice conference of the Conservative Councillors Association at Milton Hill House on Friday 15 June.

Introduced by Cllr Margaret Eaton, Chairman of the Association, Nick spoke alongside Cllr Paul Bettison, Leader of Bracknell Forest Council and Chairman of the Environment Board of the Local Government Association, and Cllr Gordon Keymer, Leader of Tandridge District Council and Chairman of the UK delegation to the Committee of the Regions in Brussels. Issues covered included renewable energy, waste, recycling, energy efficiency and  local environment action. More than 100 delegates attended from English local authorities.
