CHELGATE EXPANDS PROPERTY DIVISION

Reputation and relationship management specialist, Chelgate, has announced the appointment of Penny Mack as Senior Counsellor within the company's property division.

She will join Chelgate's fast growing property team, which currently handles a number of major accounts related to the property industry and provides public affairs, corporate, business-to-business, internet, media and consumer relations services across the industry.

Commenting on Penny's appointment, Terence Fane-Saunders, Chelgate's Chairman and Chief Executive, said:

'Penny's background and extensive experience, incorporating the full range - from community and local pressure groups through to complex government relations - will make a valuable contribution in one of our fastest growing divisions.'

Before joining Chelgate in March 2001, Penny worked as a public relations and public affairs consultant focusing on property. Specialising in public consultation and local government lobbying, she assisted clients in securing planning permission for a number of high-profile developments, and has advised on numerous strategic planning issues.

Her previous experience involves work across the country with clients including Berkeley Homes, St James, Ballymore, Sainsbury's Supermarkets, Capital Shopping Centres, Assael Architecture, Henderson Global Investors and Yellow Pages.

Prior to this, Penny worked as a House of Commons researcher for Simon Burns MP, then Shadow Minister for Environment, Planning and Construction. She also has considerable experience of corporate sponsorship and community relations, having worked within PR and education for a variety of arts organisations.

Penny is a member of the Institute of Public Relations.
